Conservation Volunteers Program

One Generation. One Mission. One Planet.

The Conservation Volunteers Program by Conservation Voice is a powerful youth-driven movement designed to nurture a new wave of environmental champions. By bringing together passionate young people from local communities and learning institutions, the program inspires action, builds leadership, and safeguards Kenya’s natural heritage for future generations

To strengthen our impact and nurture meaningful participation, we organize our volunteers into distinct categories that reflect their unique strengths, passions, and areas of contribution. These categories help us harness diverse talents, promote leadership, and ensure that every volunteer finds a purposeful and fulfilling role within our movement.

Mazingira Women Movement-
Women rising for the Earth, restoring life with every step.
Indigenous women leading frontline conservation—from seed collection and restoration work to climate-smart livelihoods, cultural conservation, and championing environmental justice.
Mazingira Rides Volunteers
Riding for nature, leading the green revolution on wheels.
Boda boda riders trained and mobilized as rapid environmental responders—supporting clean-ups, tree planting missions, community sensitization, and promoting responsible waste management.
Community Conservation Volunteers
Grassroots champions of nature
This arm of the program engages youths in Samburu and Marsabit Counties, where Conservation Voice has a deep community presence. Volunteers at the community level are the guardians of local ecosystems. They plant trees, restore degraded landscapes, and rally their communities toward cleaner, healthier environments. From setting up indigenous tree nurseries to leading school-based conservation awareness, Mashinani Volunteers ensure that climate action is rooted at the very heart of rural communities.
Comrades for Conservation
Student power for a greener future
This category unites volunteers in colleges and universities across Kenya. Students become part of an energetic network that mobilizes for environmental change. Through clubs, eco-advocacy campaigns, and campus-wide green activities, these comrades extend conservation beyond the classroom into the communities where they live and learn.

The Comrades also enjoy opportunities to:
